I'm 53 years old and have worked in the toolmaking industry for more than 35 years. I am apprentice-trained, with a wide knowledge of all types of tooling built up over many years. Since 1995, I have been heavily involved with project management for overseas toolmakers in Portugal, Italy, eastern Europe and the Far East. I have built up specialist knowledge of the local markets we have worked with over the years, to give me full understanding of what can be achieved within each sourcing base, ensuring the right choices are made at the procurement stage. I'm married, with 2 grown up children who have flown the nest.
I undertake project management for clients, with an emphasis on up-front involvement for part design and tooling feasibility. I meeting with the client design teams, purchasing teams and management to ensure the key objectives are fully understood so a package can be offered to match the targets agreed. I manage projects from conception to completion, monitoring all stages monitored and milestones.
It has to be St. Ives in Cornwall. It is the most perfect place, with amazing beaches, great scenery and fantastic light. It really lifts the soul staying there, and refreshes me for going back to work every time I visit.
Work hard so that you can enjoy your time off properly.
